And the list could go on and on...

Here is WHY.

In mid 2008, I turned on the radio, and heard the sound of an incredible synthesizer playing music that made me feel like the sound was electricity running through my veins and bloodstream.
It was the opening intro to Just Dance. It was so catchy, I found myself tuning in at exactly 3 hour intervals to hear the song played AGAIN. For months I was delightfully hooked. I became a very big fan, even though I had little to no idea who she was, only that I loved Just Dance, Poker Face, and Paparazzi. At that time, sadly, I couldn't afford a computer, and I asked a friend to burn me a CD of anything they could find by this Lady Goo Goo person who somehow had created these stellar crazy hits. They asked for $5.00 for their trouble. I agreed. A week later, they handed me a CD-R.

This was my first real taste of Gaga. And wow. The person had Googled Gaga and found some Mp3's, and threw it together to make a mixtape.... and this mixtape changed my life.

I had no idea none of these tracks weren't called The Fame album!

They prepared me to be open minded to remixes and demos.

I didn't' know what these songs were called, but I knew, no matter how crazy she was, I loved Lady Gaga.

In May 2010, I got my first computer, for $50.00, from a friend. It was a 2007 Compaq Presario. That Compaq and I discovered the epic treasure trove called www.gagafrontrow.net, and LadyGaga.com.
I discovered just how many Gaga Mp3's were out there in the world. I went NUTS. I downloaded as many as my computer could hold. And bit by bit, I burned them to CD-R, permanently preserving them. What a delight housework was. I filled my chores with beautiful Gaga music.

A little while later, I joined LadyGaga.com's official forums, and stayed there poking through odd threads and odd members (Lady CaCa?) for about a week... when another life changing thing happened.

Someone grew tired of the black backgrounds, the size 2 white fonts, the trolls and spam and Lady CaCa ~~ and declared, "Screw this place, I'm going to GagaDaily."

GagaDaily?

What's that? Wowwwwwww.......!
So on June 17th, 2010, I joined GagaDaily. What a change from the dreary LadyGaga.com! Light, easy to navigate visuals, organized topics, friendly people, and above all.... a Media section. Full to bursting with Gaga sound!

I was in piggy heaven. I loved GagaDaily. I downloaded hundreds of tracks, videos, and pictures of Gaga.
Especially Mp3's. It was a fun scavenger hunt, and equally fun to learn and become knowlegdeable about the history of her sound and growth as a singer and songwriter. Before long, I was helping others learn more and discover her works. By 2011, the powers that be who ran GagaDaily seemed to have noticed this, and they offered me a job, 11 months after joining, to work for them as Audio and Media Moderator.

I accepted. And I still hold that position to this day.
It is a delight. You never know what you are going to find, each time you log in!

Over the years, I branched out to the other Gaga fansites, and I am honored to hold Media Moderator positions at the historic PropaGaga.com, and the newer sites MonsterMovement.net and OperationGaga.com. All of them have a unique Media section with different contributors, and I expand my collection whenever I visit.

To date, I have downloaded over 17,000 (seventeen thousand) different songs related to Lady Gaga.

It is a hobby that has gotten a little crazy, but it is a rewarding and delightful one. I have met many friends, and learned a great deal about Gaga, about audio technical aspects, and archiving as a whole.

The nicest perk was having my coworkers on GGD tell Gaga about my song collecting. Her jaw dropped.
"15,000 songs? I didn't even know I had that many...!" she exclaimed. She very kindly signed me an autograph after learning of this.

Sometime in the future, it is my hope to present her with all of them, as a historical record of how her fans perceived her fame over the years, and were inspired to make beautiful music out of it.

This site, my Archives, is for YOU.

I hope you get as much joy listening to these sounds as I have over the years.

God Bless
