1. Just Dance (Scott Bradlee Postmodern Jukebox Cover) 2013

2. Alejandro (French Guitar Radio Remix) 2010

A really rare and beautiful acoustic version of Alejandro, this one was played in France over French pop music station 'Cherie FM' in the middle of 2010, around the time Alejandro was being promoted.  They did not release the name of the remixer, or the official track, but clever fans with Iphones ripped it in HQ as it played on August 13th of that year. Bravo to smart fans! Wanna pester Cherie FM to play it again, or release details?

3. You And I (MTV Jazz Version) 2011

One of the first times this fanbase ever heard true 'JazzGa', as they dubbed her. This recording was used in an MTV special on Gaga around late 2011, and instantly became very desired by the hardcores. Someone hacked the full version out of the interwebs, and all of us are grateful to hear it in the light of day, so to speak! 4. Venus (Uptempo Jazz Version) by WhiteRebellion, 2014

5. Wonderful (Live @ The Cutting Room, New York, October 6th, 2006)

Such a powerful and poignant song. Not many of you may have heard it before, but this one is from Gaga's days before hitting it big, when she was playing the piano bar and dive bar circuit with the Stefani Germanotta band. Off of her first privately released album, "Red and Blue." I think it's a great example of her pure raw vocal talent when it's just her, some drums and a piano. Enjoy!

1. Just Dance ('Dance Infinity' TFD Bootleg Remix) (Guru Josh Project vs Gaga) circa 4-2010

This one is a great mash from a little known 2010 bootleg remix album that is long since out of 'print' (and download links!), called "Lady Gaga: The Very, Very Good vs. Remixes (2010)" It featured 17 tracks of mashes of Gaga with everyone from Queen, Boney M, Madonna, and the Eurythmics.  A little bit on the LQ side but back in 2010 you pretty much got what you got when remixers put out stuff, hard to ask for do overs when you can't even locate them! Very groovy track. (If you are interested in the entire LP, you can email me for a private link as you will have a tough time rooting it out of Pirate Bay or other sources, as there are little to no seeders anymore for this one)

2. Bad Romance ('Requiem For A Romance') by Robin Skouteris, 3-15-2010

Excellent orchestral mash, with biting violins and dark undercurrents of bass, this one takes the cake for true remixing at it's finest. Mr. Skouteris masterfully incorporated some of the "Lord Of The Rings" soundtrack in this one, along with 'Requiem For A Dream' by Clint Mansell.  Gaga's voice is carried by the volins and anchored back down by the dance beat. Excellent piece, a must-listen!

3. Bloody Mary (Oxceranoid's Better Place Remix) 6-22-2011

A nice schitzophrenic remix of Bloody Mary, complete with inspirational quotes by Gaga and very danceable hardstylish beats! I remember when Oxceranoid joined GGD 1.0 in 2011 and debuted 3 his mixes there, to a great reception. 4. Applause (Kristijan Majic Remix) 8-18-2013

Beautiful sprawling remix of Applause done in what Kristijan calls "heavy baroque" style!
Hands down one of my favorite remixes of Applause, he put it out within days of the song having leaked. Kristijan is currently remixing Brooklyn Nights and a special treat for us for Gagaween 2014 (aka Halloween!) You can say hi to him here: https://soundcloud.com/kristijanmajic

5. Chillin' (Wale featuring Gaga) Extra Verse Version circa 2009

So this version of Chillin' has one extra Lady Gaga verse, which not many people noticed back when it was released on Wale's album. Enjoy being 'flyest of the boys' at Gaga trivia when you play this one!

Radio Artpop -- Week 2

Greetings everyone!

I'm back again this week to show you five more essential grooves for your music box, be it Itunes, phone, or Mp3 player! Once more, we will be sticking to the "one song per album" format to show you a true variety of Gaga sound.

1. Poker Face (Jody den Broeder Radio Edit) circa 2009

This has to be one of my all time favorite Gaga mixes. Great flow, great trancelike groove,  sexy background vocals, and the whole thing is expertly crafted. No wonder Gaga and Interscope put it on "The Remix"! Surprisingly, not many fans today know of it unless they have the CD. Enjoy this radio edit straight from early 2009! 2. So Happy I Could Die (Re-Edit by Jordan Howe) aka GGD's Candy Warhol, circa 2010

A very special track, by a very special girl... Back in 2010, a girl named Jordan Howe joined Gaga Daily.com and began posting as a fan and remixer. She was exceptionally talented, and at the tender age of 15, edited this version of So Happy I Could Die. Note the additional drums, the reference to Just Dance, and the perfectly stuttering acapella. Sadly, Jordan Howe took her own life earlier this year due to malicious bullying. She was transgendered, and only 19 years old. You may remember her, her biggest remix (Born This Way -- The Jordan Howe Megamix) was carried by PopJustice.com and E! News Live. 3. Judas (Bugzz and Skyle Remix) 5-11-2011

Great track by some very underappreciated remixers on the pop scene. Bugzz has been mixing Gaga tunes since '08. (Incidentally, if ANY of you have his version of Just Dance, I've been looking for it for about 5 years now!) On this one, he collaborated with rapper/remixer Skyle of Germany. Put out right after the song leaked, as there is usually a glut of remixes in the first few weeks after a song drops. Judas remains one of the most remixed Gaga songs -- EVER. 4. Donatella ('The Donatella Shire', Gaga vs Modulation mash) by U-Go-Boy, 8-2014

Very hot remix by U-Go-Boy , incorporating electro and modern EDM by Modulation.
U-Go-Boy has been a rising star remixer on the Gaga forum circuit for some time now, beginning in 2011 when he first tried a shot at remixing a dubstep Born This Way after it's midnight release. Since then, he's done well, and this track is off of his latest Gaga EP, "ARTPOP X EDM", featuring all of the ARTPOP tracks remixed against long standing EDM tracks. 5. Out Of Control (Trancelike Intro Version by an Unknown Artist) circa 6-2010

This song, or more correctly, the song this one is remixed from, caused an utter sensation in mid-2010 when it was leaked, supposedly hacked from Gaga or the record label or perhaps Mr. Burim himself. It remains one of the most sought after and desired Gaga demos ever. The initial leak was only about one minute and six seconds long, and was tagged out the kazoo with tags from Burim and his friends. Fans were rabid for a full version, and this version surfaced in mid 2010. Thought to perhaps be the MasterEmerald version, but never officially credited to him, this one is a special favorite of mine because of the introductory synths. Perhaps someday we will hear the REAL Out Of Control! You never know, things do happen! It has to be out there, somewhere...

Radio Artpop -- Week 1 -- My New Job as Audio Manager

Hello, Radio ARTPOP Fans and Listeners!

Today marks Day One of my new job at RadioArtPop.com as your Downloads Manager!
Here I will be presenting you with the very best Gaga sounds to feed your Pop Heart, and plug into your Ipods, phones, cars, or headphones!

Let me introduce myself to you...

My name is Katharine, aka "ChicaSkas" in the fanbase. I love music!

I've been collecting Gaga music since 2008, and I've got literally thousands of different versions of almost all the songs she's ever recorded.  Starting with remixes, I soon moved on to lives, instrumentals, acapellas, stems, orchestrals, TV performances, radio interviews, bootlegs, unreleased material, fan edits, and collaborations.

 This is what my Lady Gaga Collection looks like in real life:

Each small binder holds between 20 and 40 CD-R's. All of those CD-R's are burned with 70+ minutes each... and that means you are looking at roughly 17,000 Gaga songs in this picture! Pretty cool, huhn? Since then, I realized I couldn't keep burning CD-R's forever, so I moved on to external harddrives to house the rest.

Audio Set --- Week 1

I chose to represent something from every Gaga album we have so far, as well as an unreleased track as the cherry on top to cap it off.

1. Paparazzi (Almixo Dubstep) (2012) represents "The Fame". I love the sound of this remix, it was put out by Nu Venture Records in 2012.

2. Bad Romance (Tango Version) circa 2010 is a nod to "The Fame Monster". We have no idea who recorded this awesome remix. If you know, tell me!

3. Born This Way (Hedegaard and Brandon Beal Remix) (2011) is a rarely heard alternate recording of Born This Way! Check out the different lyrics! I felt this one should be my homage to that album.

4. Aura (Boyfriends Killed The Vouge Remix) (2013) is a really hot club banger of a song to represent the ARTPOP era. I can imagine strutting down a runway just slaying in my pajamas to this one! "I'll see YOU after the function!" 

5. Nothing On But The Radio (Brian Cua Radio-ified Edit) (circa 2011). This one is a hotly debated song, some people say it's Gaga, some don't, I personally think it IS her voice, but what do I know? :)
